Why Your Business Needs to Adapt to Blockchain – Week 4

In January 2022, I did a 30-day project on “Why Your Business Needs to Adapt to Blockchain”. This post is a part of it. To know what I covered, learned, and executed in the project, visit this page.

Hello there, this is my update from the final and the most productive week of the project.

I started the week by deleting social media apps and Pokemon Go from my phone. I had to do a lot this week. I could not afford distractions.

I had to finish writing the blog posts from the dApp creating and token creating exercises. That was a big task. I had to re-do the entire exercise to take screenshots and document the entire process. Initially, I wrote one very long post detailing everything in Week 3. But, I needed to split it for better readability.

I had dozens of pages filled with notes on my Notion. Synthesizing the notes was very important at this stage. There were lots of useful information. I had to find a way to bring them into the project somehow. One channel was through the Glossary of terms. I could explain the terms in more detail than usual. I wanted to write with beginners as the target audience. So, I had to be conscious about one thing. While defining a term, I had to minimize the use of jargon. Otherwise, it would turn into a never-ending loop. I also had to use examples in explanations as much as possible. Additionally, I had several half-done blog posts on Notion. I combined some ideas and wrote the article comparing Ethereum with Wolverine.

I spent the last two days working simultaneously on the landing page of the project. I had to ensure everything was linked properly, I had to get the context blurb you see at the top into every page of the project, I had to check for grammar, find relevant images, and a ton of other things.

Challenges I faced in Week 4

I had too many loose ends this week. There were half-written articles, a half-done landing page, glossary terms left unfilled, and many more. This was expected since I intentionally delayed closing things to maximize the learning. I had to work extra hours the last few days and the regular lifestyle took a hit. That setback is temporary, and I was happy with how things took shape finally.
